This book provides a dynamic exploration of alternative migration narratives across the EU, promoting awareness of freedom of movement, European values, and citizenship rights. It brings together personal stories and innovative educational practices to challenge racism and discrimination, strengthen European identity, and inspire active engagement with the core ideals of the EU project. In Part I, contributors critically examine how migration is framed in public narratives, including media hate speech, xenophobic online discourse, political speeches, and the spread of disinformation. Part II introduces the Freedom of Movement Project (FOM@Play), offering a deep dive into private narratives of migration, personal stories of mobility, and the construction of European identities. Julius Evola and the Radical Right examines the ideas and influence of Italian thinker Julius Evola (1898-1974), an increasingly popular author within the far right and the esoteric milieu alike.

An iconic figure for successive generations of the radical right, Evola is both revered and reviled, but his past remains contested. Those seeking information about him are confronted with a fractured and contentious legacy. Drawing on the archival record and texts that Evola left behind, this book reconstructs his intellectual trajectory and examines his activities in Fascist Italy, in Nazi Germany, and in the neo-fascist movement after 1945. It demonstrates that Evola and his circle were not as marginal as sometimes portrayed and cooperated more closely with Fascist and Nazi officials than previously recognized. The book dispels many of the myths surrounding Evola and his "spiritual racism" while tracing Evola's enduring influence after his death, showing how his ideas continue to inspire contemporary political movements.

This book responds to the growing presence of "middle elements"-intermediaries and migration agents-in the facilitation of labour migration and advances an economic sociological explanation for their rising relevance in the contemporary migration landscape. Rather than treating the proliferation of agents as an organic development of neoliberal capitalism or attributing migrant precarity solely to their mediation, the book reconceptualizes brokerage as an institutionally constituted and contested market of migration services. It argues that a market perspective offers fresh insights into why migration agents consolidate into a durable industry, how brokerage serves the interests of labour exporting, remittance-dependent emigration states such as Nepal, and why intermediaries persist despite the stabilization of migrant social networks and the expansion of state mechanisms that replicate and attempt to replace commercial brokerage. By examining market organization, the sedimentation of its practices, and struggles over market legitimacy, the book reveals how brokerage reshapes state- market relations, governance structures, and migrant labour processes for readers interested in migration, sociology of work, labour and migration policy.

Dr. Jaira J. Harrington is an Assistant Professor of Black Studies at the University of Illinois Chicago, USA. She has published in Latin American and Caribbean Ethnic Studies, Kalfou: A Journal of Comparative Ethnic Studies, Race & Class, and Revista Relicario Uberlandia. A seasoned educator on gender, race, labor, activism, and Black communities in Latin America, she teaches courses on Black diaspora, global Black feminisms, and the politics of Blackness in Latin America. She is currently completing her first book, Inscribed and Erased: Domestic Workers' Rights in Brazil.

Dr. Angie Edell Campos Lazo is a Lecturer of Social Work at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Peru and an Afro-Peruvian activist. Her dissertation, Black Bodies in Professional Workspaces: Professionalization of Afro-Peruvian Women in the City of Lima, examines contemporary racism through the educational and professional experiences of Afro-Peruvian women. Her research centers Afro-Peruvian human rights, Afro-descendant women's activism, and youth political participation. A recognized scholar-activist and community leader, she has published widely in the Afro-Latin American studies field.
